Markus Lupfer collection presentation for LFW S/S 2015
Piña colada, surfboard and garland at the ready? Enter German-born designer Markus Lupfer’s spring/summer 2015 collection. A mélange of fluros, metallics and holographics, Lupfer’s presentation does not fall far short of one of the most enticing yet, with looks for every occasion.
As models frolicked amongst Lupfer’s charming Sunshine State representation, spectators revelled in everything from statement sweaters to liberating lax board shorts and loose-fitting trouser co-ords. A kaleiodoscope of sunkissed neon greens, blues and oranges set the base for key pieces, whilst under-layers in hues of grey and black nod at a more rebellious predilection.
Bulky oily zips and heavy buckle fastenings also enforced an underlying defiance within the collection, lending themselves to otherwise conventionally feminine cocktail dresses and mini skirts. And in the wake of this unorthodox approach, even Lupfer’s fabric choice screams “rule breaker”, from marble jacquards to brocades and lurex.
As for accessories, this overall sprightly presentation was topped off superbly with playful glitter jelly sandals, jeweled rainbow studs and Linda Farrow’s signature coloured-lens sunglasses. All that’s needed now are the perfect bleach blonde locks!
