Zeynep Kartal catwalk show report for LFW S/S 2015
Zeynep Kartal’s SS15 evening wear collection took shape as an utterly flawless embodiment of feminine laissez-faire attire. Entitled efflorescence to flower out, the collection represents the beauty of nature within an abundance of floor sweeping dresses so stunning the average imagination could not even begin to create.
Through enchantingly graceful silhouettes, an angelically soft colour palette of vibrant limes, dusky pinks and dove greys, and decadent fabrics including palazzo, silk georgette and chiffon, the collection champions the ultimate femininity. But being the detail afficionado she is, Kartal’s designs do not stop there, enhanced with his expert choice of bead and pearl embellishment, diamanté encrusting and minimalistic ruching. A structured hot pink 3D petal appliquéd bandeau dress was just one of many to cast a ripple of gasps across Freemasons’ upper gallery throughout the show.
And whilst there is never a reason not to sport one of Kartal’s beautifully bespoke dress designs, the collection also features structured box cut tops, tailored city shorts and sculpted silk bodies. Teamed with billowing effervescent collarless capes, each look remains in keeping with Kartal’s signature luxury, yet simultaneously achieving the perfect timeless wardrobe additions.
