Francesco Scognamiglio catwalk show report | MFW S/S 2015
Sensuality is the keyword of the spring/summer 2015 collection by Francesco Scognamiglio: circular motion of waves of fabric, pearly veils and a rock romantic style.
Presented in the amazing location of Palazzo Reale in Duomo, Scognamiglio showcased his effervescent creativity and love of beauty with a tribute to Madame Grès, the last Grand Dame of The Haute Couture Parisian.
The models wore mini and maxi dresses which wrapped round the body creating feminine silhouettes. Soft colours and light fabrics were almost impalpable as though the blue of Naples’ sea joined the purest white silks, worked with great care and harmony.
A perfect collection that was enhanced by embroidery woven on antique hand blooms. Motifs of large leaves set in silver armours encrusted with crystals offered a strong and polite, aristocratic and modern aesthetic.
The new pieces are stylish, creative, unmistakable and non-replicable. It runs an invisible bridge of light and rhythm between past and future.
