Top three mobile phones out there right now
These days, mobile phones are our dependable personal assistants that we can slip into trouser pockets (although we still have to get the morning coffees ourselves). Gone are the days of trying to beat the top score on Snake; it’s now all about catching up on your favourite shows via a mini HD screen, updating plentiful social media statuses and playing with a bunch of Angry Birds.
With so many new models on the market, it can be hard picking the right one, so let’s take a look at some of the best mobile phone deals this year.
Apple iPhone 6
Apple know how to cause a stir with their products and they manage to do it yet again with the iPhone 6. It is a thing of sleek beauty with a 4.7 inch screen and tiny 6.9mm depth. The A8 chip provides more power than the 5 and the faster 4G LTE means that you can download faster than ever. Reports of the super slim phone snapping have made the headlines recently, but reports show that the claims are overblown, so there’s no need to worry unless you go at it with a sledgehammer. The coolest feature of this iteration might just be the fingerprint screen lock technology.
Samsung Galaxy S5
A worthy rival of the iPhone, the Android powered Galaxy 5 should be your phone of choice if you are prone to taking pictures and videos: the huge 5.1 inch HDR display plays back imagery taken with its 16MP camera. Other noteworthy gadgets include an Ultra Power Saving Mode, dust and water resistance and a built in heart monitor with accompanying fitness apps. You can even double your Wi-Fi connection with built in 2×2 MIMO technology: perfect for downloading in a hurry but just be careful not to exceed your monthly allowance.
LG G3
The lightweight metallic design of the LG G3 is pretty suave and it has the functionality to match. Boasting a 5.5 inch screen, it has a bigger screen than the Galaxy S5 and iPhone6 and is still designed to be held with one hand (LG did win Most Innovative Device Manufacturer of the Year in 2014 after all). The number of pre-installed apps has been streamlined for more space, you can build your own interface to suit your needs, the camera has Laser Auto Focus and the device uses wireless charging. Phew! This could very well be the best of our crop.
Whichever handset you choose make sure that you get the best deal out there: you’ll be surprised at what you can find with a little digging. We’re excited to see what drops in 2015 but for now, these phones have enough gizmos to keep even Inspector Gadget entertained.
