Style file: Alexa Chung
With a Mulberry bag named in her honour and one of the world’s most enviable wardrobes, there’s no denying that Alexa Chung is a style icon. In fact, to prove it, she won British Style Icon three years running at the British Fashion Awards.
So we have put together a style file of some of our favourite Chung outfits.
Denim dream
You may have heard about Alexa’s new collaboration with AG Jeans, and at the launch of the collection in London she rocked her own design in her usual off duty look. Here you can see her wearing dark blue denim overalls paired with classic black converse trainers and a cute white lace blouse.
All white
We absolutely adore this look! Chung wears a white shift feathered dress to Christian Siriano’s pop-up shop in New York to celebrate his new fragrance, September 2014. She adds her own effortlessly chic twist to this look by pairing it with patent black ankle boots. A thumbs up from us!
Velvet co-ords
If there’s one thing we’ve been loving lately it’s a good old fashioned co-ord. With a unique ability to stay ahead of the trends, Alexa has inevitably worked this trend perfectly. She wore this Saint Laurent red velvet two-piece set to the Mytheresa.com x Anya Hindmarch dinner at the Royal Academy of Art.
Sixties smock
It wouldn’t really be an Alexa Chung style file if we didn’t include a look incorporating a sixties-style smock dress and how cute is this vintage cream one? The love of these girly, vintage smock dresses has been copied so much that the style icon said: “I got really bored of smock dresses and loafers for a while”. But fear not she’s still rocking them, and we are too!
Peter Pan collar
From this shirt teamed with a Philip Lim tux on the red carpet, to something as casual as peeking out from underneath a sweater, Alexa’s love of Peter Pan collars is no secret. We think this look is the perfect combination of masculine and feminine and that’s a staple Alexa style that we will forever want to recreate.
