Top beauty tips to stick to in 2015

Drink more water

It is a well-known fact that keeping hydrated is essential for that fresh-faced look. Drinking plenty of water flushes toxins and impurities out of the body, and in doing so, helps keep your skin clear of breakouts as well as keeping it hydrated and fighting that dull, dry winter skin.

Protect your hair from heat

It’s important to remember, if hair styling equipment could burn your skin badly, just imagine what it can do to your hair. Always prep with a heat-protective styling product! It’s one of the best things you can do for your locks.

Cleanse, tone and moisturise

A good skin-cleansing regime is about more than just keeping your skin clean. It also helps to prevent breakouts, helps keep aging skin at bay and promotes radiant skin. By following three simple steps: cleansing, toning and moisturising, you can keep your skin looking beautiful every day.

Get your beauty sleep

We know, you don’t need telling more than once, who doesn’t want an excuse to sleep more! It is recommended that we get eight hours of good quality, undisturbed sleep per night and the beauty benefits are endless. So learn to manage your time well and balance out work, play and rest equally in order to make sure you get the most out of your beauty sleep.

Don’t sleep in your make-up

You might have done so once or twice over party season and we’ll let you off, but sleeping in your make-up is the biggest beauty sin. When you sleep your skin needs to breathe, this is because whilst you doze a secretion of hormones repair skin tissues and cell protein production is increased, which helps reverse any damage your skin endures throughout the day. A layer of make-up will suffocate pores and stop this natural process.

Maintain your manicure

We love a pretty painted set of nails, but the second that polish starts to chip, you must tidy them up! It may be tricky to find the time but make sure you set aside just five minutes to perfect your nails and if you really don’t have the time to paint just take it all off and go au naturel, easy!

Exfoliate

It’s essential to get rid of dead skin cells if you want your skin to glow with radiance and health. Exfoliation is key to revealing the luminous, fresh, youthful skin that lies beneath and regular exfoliation helps the skin to renew itself. Just once or twice a week and you will soon see the difference.

Get good brows

Eyebrows are key to shaping your face. So whether you chose to pluck, wax or thread your brows, make it your mission this year to keep them looking neat and tidy and in good shape throughout the year.

Invest in high quality make-up brushes

Brushes make applying make-up so much easier and also help give a much more even coverage. So don’t look for cheap alternative to layer foundation and powders across your face, it is always best to spend a little extra cash to create a better finish.

Try new things!

Whether it is an expensive foundation that everyone’s been raving about or just experimenting with a new lipstick colour, make 2015 all about trying new things and just go for it!
