The Rohmir woman is enchanting. She is glamorous, elegant and bold, ready to take on the world one diamond at a time, and it’s no surprise when you glance at founder and creative director Olga Roh. Previously a model, aristocrat and most recently a baroness, the 45-year-old is accustomed to an opulent lifestyle, and her latest collection is a definite nod to the lavish world of parties and events.
Aptly named The Dolls, the collection is inspired by the beauty and style of these well-loved figures. Models strutted down the catwalk sporting 60s-esque beehives in royal blue gowns, textured silver dress coats and midi skirts printed with images of china dolls. Cuts were clean, feminine and elegant, with woollen dresses and straight coats featuring hot pink linings.
Then the real glamour; full-length gowns with laser-cut detailing glided along the runway, whilst sparkles and asymmetrical necklines glistened. Rich red, black and amber gave a sultry ambience, while navy and grey punctured the colour palette with some chic. The result was a grown-up, sophisticated version of Barbie who definitely enjoyed her fair share of luxury champagnes and evening banquets.
