Sibling catwalk show report for LFW A/W 2015
Fun, bold, bright and oh-so-fantastically out there, Sibling couldn’t have met its expectations any better. Known for their rebellious streak in the young girl style, following convention is not something they do well, but running away from it is executed brilliantly. These cool girls know what they want and aren’t afraid to go out there and get it.
Mismatched layering, contrasting patterns, textures and blasts of colour were all apparent in this collection, alongside a mass of fluff to make Charlotte Simone proud of and embellishment any glitter fiend green with envy. The perfect contrast between covered-up Sunday school girl and outlandish rebel mixed together to form a pretty coveted set of clothing and accessories.
Twin sets and fur trims suggested that sex is back, but it was the latex dresses that screamed it. Longline zips and paneling also outlined the beauty of the female frame, pointing directly towards the “I am a woman and I’m not afraid to use this” vibe, whilst being fun and flirty throughout.
Be fierce as the era of Sibling is upon us.
