Oscars 2015 best dressed list
This year’s 87th Academy Awards was the climax of awards season, and it did not disappoint when it came to red carpet style. Here’s a look back at the evening’s most glamorous Oscars style.
Fifty Shades of Grey starlet, Dakota Johnson nailed her big moment in a sultry crimson embellished one-shouldered gown by designer Saint Laurent. The column-style dress was enhanced with a thigh-high slit and understated hair and makeup to complete the look.
Red proved to be the colour of the night, as Brit star Rosamund Pike opted for a crimson lace Givenchy gown too. With a cinched in waist, the strapless dress hugged her curves and showcased her petite frame.
Emma Stone was another star to steal the spotlight at this year’s Oscars. The redheaded beauty stunned in a long-sleeved, chartreuse custom Elie Saab gown complete with a thigh high slit. The embellished pale green gown featured a high neckline and a scooped back for an added touch of class.
Best Actress nominee, Reese Witherspoon may have failed to win the accolade but that didn’t stop her winning the red carpet in a curve-hugging black and white Tom Ford dress. Witherspoon never fails to impress and this year’s Oscars was no exception as her Bardot style dress proved a timeless classic.
Sienna Miller looked sensational in a fitted navy Oscar de la Renta gown straight off the runway. The dress was shown at New York Fashion Week just four days prior to the event and featured a high neckline, lace details and a semi-sheer skirt, making it an elegant choice.
Finally, Focus star Margot Robbie looked magnificent in a sheer black plunging Saint Laurent dress. She accessorised the dress perfectly with a Van Cleef and Arpels necklace featuring diamonds and sapphires set in 18k yellow gold and a bold red lip.
