The rise of Kendall Jenner
Kendall Jenner’s fashion career has been going from strength to strength over the past few months. Appearing in numerous New York and Paris Fashion Week shows, she shows no signs of stopping for anyone or anything.
Despite the bullying rumours earlier last year, Kendall has come out stronger than ever and is determined to prove that she’s serious about her modelling career. The Kardashian/Jenner name hasn’t always done her favours; she has been rejected from modelling contracts due to her family, so she recently dropped her name from her business cards and banned her family from appearing at her shows.
Whilst modelling for numerous brands, Kendall has acquired quite a famous group of friends, including Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn and Gigi Hadid, who have shunned the haters and protected Kendall from the hurtful bullying that took place again at this year’s NYFW.
Last year, Kendall became the new face of Estée Lauder, making her the youngest ever spokesperson for the brand. Some were quick to criticise this role, slamming her as too young and inexperienced to take on such a big responsibility, but despite the criticisms, Kendall is determined to prove that she is up to the position.
Reports have speculated that this may be the year she takes over Cara Delevingne’s stardom; Cara has since made a statement that she would be taking a step back from modelling to concentrate on her music and movie career, which has already made a promising start.
Kendall is set for a fabulous 2015, already busy representing Estée Lauder and starring in countless magazine shoots; she is also rumoured to be starting a new clothing range with sister Kylie for Topshop. Is there anything she can’t do?
