Georgia Jagger presents Minnie Mouse at London Fashion Week
British fashion model Georgia Jagger channels the iconic Disney character for a photo shoot in Dazed and Confused as the world prepares for the Minnie Mouse exhibition that will come to life at London Fashion Week in September.
Since her appearance as Mickey’s girlfriend back in 1928, Minnie Mouse has become a household name and is easily one of the most globally recognised Disney personalities. From fancy dress costumes and slogan T-shirts to jewellery and high-end fashion accessories, Minnie has also become an unexpected style icon. The red polka dot dress, black ears and oversized bow have inspired many designers, including Lulu Guinness who created a limited edition Minnie-style clutch back in 2012, as well as Giles Deacon who vamped up the Minnie Mouse look with a spiked bow and rockabilly dress.
Now everybody’s favourite mouse will have an entire display dedicated to her at Somerset House for one of the most important weeks on the fashion calendar.
Georgia Jagger is helping to curate the presentation that will feature images showcasing how Minnie Mouse truly has become a style icon. In the most recent issue of Dazed, Jagger can be seen wearing Minnie Mouse-inspired fashion created for the magazine by Ashley Williams. Jagger also talks about her love for Minnie and her work on the adventure.
You may have spotted #minniestyleuk on numerous social media sites; this hashtag is being used for people to post their pictures showing how Minnie has become their muse.
