Style file: Lorde
Lorde became an instant sensation when her track Royals made her the youngest solo artist to achieve a US number one single since 1987. Whilst having a flourishing singing career, Lorde is also known for her dark clothing choices – usually trousers!
At the tender age of 18, Lorde has done incredibly well for herself. She is a role model for many young girls and women, and her unique style gives her an edge.
At the Golden Globes award ceremony, Lorde sported minimal eye make-up, highlighting her lips with a bright red lipstick, teamed with sleek hair. Her suit consisted of high waisted, flared trousers and a long, draping blazer. This look, while being very elegant, is a very mature outfit that Lorde pulls off incredibly!
Lorde attended the Chloé runway show at Paris Fashion Week and did so in a very stylish manner: she paired navy blue culottes with a white chiffon shirt with bishop sleeves. Although being plain, this is a very smart and fresh look, with strappy sandals adding an airy, minimalistic feel.
Lorde does something a little different in this outfit. She ditched her signature colour black, and opted for a classy top and bohemian printed culottes. Taking note of the 70s trend, she embraces the flared silhouette of the trousers, contrasting them with a tight fitted top.
Showing off her shy smile on stage, here Lorde adopts her signature colour. The fishnet material of the top creates a gothic element that is dressed up with a leather skater skirt. Comfortable and practical for performing in, Lorde, once again pulls off the darker colours.
