Tart’s Kitchen launches pop-up restaurant in Queen’s Park

Tart’s Kitchen launches pop-up restaurant in Queen’s Park

Founded by Lucy Carr-Ellison and Jemima Jones, Tart’s Kitchen is a painfully stylish catering company providing dainty and delicious dishes backstage at fashion shows and photo shoots. interiorA permanent residence for Tart’s Kitchen is in the pipeline, but as a tantalising taste of things to come they have launched a stunning pop-up in the heart of Queen’s Park, which will run until mid-June. This is the first time Tart’s Kitchen has opened to the public and visitors to the North West London eatery are in for a treat.

In collaboration with homeware brand Wedgwood, food and drinks will be served on china and in glasses from their elegant Wild Strawberry collection. Loose Wedgewood tea leaves and teabags will be available to buy, packaged in beautiful blue, tea caddy tins, whilst small, clay tapas dishes and pots also make an appearance on the tables, ensuring that presentation is sophisticated yet unfussy.

The unfinished stone surroundings are in tasteful contrast to the elegant food and tableware, creating a look where the shabby is undoubtedly dominated by the chic. The space is decorated with breathtaking bouquets of British wild flowers, adding to the setting’s rustic charm. Staff members are as fashionable as the food, dressed smartly in white shirts and stiff, cotton, navy blue aprons.

Ingredients are always fresh, seasonal and sustainably sourced and the menu will vary daily. Breakfast options will include sweet potato pancakes and chilli and sage fried eggs with halloumi. Lunch offerings contain a selection of noodle dishes and slow-cooked meats, as well as salads and bruschetta. A sophisticated Wild Strawberry Afternoon Tea served with a glass of champagne will also be available.

The fashion crowd will undoubtedly flock to this pop-up; patrons can expect to eat exactly the same fare being served backstage at fashion shows, and which fashionista worth their Manolos will be able to resist that?
