The best Calvin Klein models
Calvin Klein have partnered with numerous famous faces, and their ad campaigns are often unforgettable. Here is the round up of the best to date.
The most controversial Calvin Klein campaign in 1980 had the then 15-year-old Brooke Shields cite the now famous line: “Do you know what comes between me and my Calvins? Nothing.” The young actress, who had previously played a child prostitute in Pretty Baby, aged 12, was unfazed by the stigma.
Kate Moss
This is the 1992 campaign that launched Kate Moss’ career. The striking set of black-and-white images saw Kate transition from a goofy Croydon kid into the face of a generation. Audiences were captivated by her soft, natural beauty and waifish figure. The shoot with “Marky Mark” Walhberg caused huge scandal since young and innocent-looking Kate, only 17, was seen partially nude with the actor and rapper.
Christy Turlington
First modelling underwear for the brand in 1998, 25 years on Turlington returns as the face of Calvin Klein Eternity fragrance in 2014 with husband Ed Burns.
Lottie Moss
Kate’s younger sister comes on to the modelling scene with a very similar campaign 21 years later. The images of the 16-year-old are much more covered up, and big-sister Kate is said to have sworn to protect her sister from getting the same media treatment she suffered at a young age.
Kendall Jenner
Kendall is known for smart campaigns, careful to present herself in a certain way due to being part of the reputable Kardashian clan, and her CK Jeans campaign is exactly that. The teen model bares little more than a slither of midriff and the result is a very fresh, clean set of pictures.
