Geri Halliwell weds Christian Horner in traditional Phillipa Lepley dress
Geri Halliwell has married Formula One boss Christian Horner in St Mary’s Church in Woburn, Bedfordshire.
Arriving by horse and carriage, the bride wore an elegant, white, couture lace gown by Phillipa Lepley. Thought to be worth in the region of £25,000, the tulle creation featured intricate, lace sleeves, full skirt and long, traditional veil. Onlookers caught a glimpse of her sky-high, gold, strappy stilettos, as she walked to the entrance of the 19th century church, carrying a bouquet of dusky pink roses.
Halliwell posted several photos to Instagram on the day, including a series of pictures representing “something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue”: vintage drop pearl earrings, a peek of the wedding dress, diamond necklace and “bluebell” blue bow.
The reception was held at the majestic and historic Woburn Abbey. There, a huge marquee overlooking gardens awaited the newlyweds and their guests, which included Emma Bunton, Amanda Holden, Myleene Klass and Dawn French.
The 41-year-old reprised the classic Wannabe, for her new husband, before dancing the night away to legendary soul group The Four Tops, as they performed a live medley.
Describing it as the “best day of our entire lives,” the former Spice Girl can be seen barely able to wipe the smile off her face.
