Top ten bucket bags on the high street
The bucket bag is this season’s versatile accessory which shames its name-sharing cousin, the bucket hat, by out-doing it in both style and class.
Practical and spacious, the bag saw a whole cast of different faces in its new reign this season’s runway. Jeremy Scott vamped the bucket for Moschino, plastering cartoon teddy bear faces all over its quilted leather exterior. Saint Laurent pays homage to the house roots with a range of seventies-inspired suede and leather bucket bags with patchwork, fringing and tassel details.
A sharp, leather cylindrical shape with suede ties and tiny golden letters spelling out her name comes from Victoria Beckham. Meanwhile, Michael Kors presented what you’d expect – his signature leather bag transformed into a bucket style in a range of colours with gold tipped drawstrings. Crazy things took shape at House of Holland, where the bucket was decked out in multicoloured snake prints, coloured chains and rainbow-bright marabou fur.
With catwalks covered in models with the bucket bag slung over their shoulders, it’s only natural that the high street took suit and gave us a number of more affordable solutions. Here are the top 10 we’ve picked off the rack for you.
