Royal baby: Kensington Palace releases first pictures of Princess Charlotte with Prince George
A series of photographs of Prince George and his sister Princess Charlotte have been released by Kensington Palace.
The four photos show Prince George cradling sister Charlotte, as they sit on a cream couch at their family home of Anmer Hall, in Norfolk. Taken by their proud mother, just weeks after the birth of the new royal, the animated, young Prince can be seen laughing and kissing his baby sister on the forehead.
Immaculately presented, George is dressed in a white shirt with blue trim, smart shorts and knee-length socks in the same hue, whilst Charlotte wears a white, knitted jumper and coordinating trousers.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge decided against using an official photographer, and chose to release the pictures through social media, as a way to recognise the vast amount of followers gained in recent weeks. Photography is listed as one of Catherine’s hobbies in her biography on the royal website, and her skills are evident in these images – taken with her Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera.
Prince William and Catherine are expected to be based at Anmer Hall for the next few years as they raise Princess Charlotte and Prince George, who is almost two, with the help of a full-time nanny.
They will next be captured together when Princess Charlotte is christened in July, at the church of St Mary Magdalene, Sandringham.
