Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne are unveiled as the face of Mango’s autumn/winter 2015 campaign
With the autumn/winter collections on their way, Mango have revealed that the campaign will be fronted by legendary supermodel Kate Moss and her protégée Cara Delevingne.
London-born supermodels Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne both signed with Storm Model Management as teenagers and have had rising careers in the modelling world. Moss has incredible success since being spotted in 1988 by Sarah Doukas. Delevingne, on the other hand, was signed to Storm after leaving school in 2009.
The pair were recently featured together in the 2014 Burberry fragrance campaign. Following its success, the bond between Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne both on and off screen became a “lethal combination” as Miss Delevingne put it. They are now to be the faces of the upcoming Mango collection, which will be Cara Delevingne’s first time working with Mango.
Mango was founded in Barcelona, Spain, by brothers Isak Andic and Nahman Andic. The company are well-known for their unique take on summer casualwear and have worked previously with Kate Moss (in 2011), making her the face and muse of Mango. Moss’s first appearance was in a comic video which Terry Richardson shot and directed. In 2013 she was replaced by Australian Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr, who in turn was ousted by Daria Werbowy in 2014.
Mango took to Instagram to make the announcement, alongside a preview of the supermodels’ shoot, captioning the photo: “Big announcement: two outstanding fashion icons @caradelevingne and #KateMoss star together in our new #MANGO autumn/winter 2015 campaign. #somethingincommon”.
Delevingne also shared the image with her followers yesterday, posting: “Everything is fun when Miss Moss is around,” having also posted a teaser video a few days earlier.
With the dynamic duo gracing the catwalk with their commanding presences, we foresee a fantastic fall show for Mango.
