Suki Waterhouse is unveiled as the new Redken global brand muse
Redken, the US hair giant, has chosen Suki Waterhouse as their global brand muse. The actress and supermodel is only 23 but her career is really flourishing: she already has a contract with Burberry beauty and many upcoming movie roles and magazine cover shoots.
Known for her sophisticated 60s look and cat-eyed childish face, Suki showcases herself as an elegant and sensual woman in the Redken campaign, with her fringe styled back and her hair looking shiny and bouncy. The product she’s promoting in these first images – that we will see in magazines from August – is the diamond oil glow dry.
In an interview the British model released to Teen Vogue, she revealed that this particular oil she is promoting has quickly conquered her heart, becoming one of those products she now couldn’t live without: “It’s perfect for just that little extra shine and leaves hair feeling so silky. I use it on my damp hair and then blow dry it through”.
During the interview Suki also took the chance to share what an amazing experience working with Redken has been: “I’ve definitely grown up with Redken. It’s an iconic brand and a staple in every hairdresser’s kit. Getting the contract was one of those big moments, like, ‘Wow, I’m working with a truly iconic brand.’ It’s a complete honour. I get to work with the best people and I feel like it’s time to go on a really new exciting hair journey! The most exciting thing is that Redken is open to collaborating. It’s not just being a model on set. They are open to your ideas and experiment with you”, she told the magazine.
