Kendall Jenner strips for Calvin Klein’s new campaign
After many icons like Kate Moss, Eva Mendes, Justin Bieber and Lara Stone, time has come for Kendall Jenner to also get almost naked for the historical lingerie brand.
The 19-year-old model of the moment has already been the testimonial for Calvin Klein Jeans latest campaign, in the series #mycalvins, but this time she has been called to showcase what the brand consider “the original sexy”.
As Melisa Goldie, chief marketing officer of Calvin Klein, said: “Calvin Klein originated sexy, and we’re going to reclaim, reimagine and reimage it. We’re bringing together a powerful mix of women from all over the world to celebrate our heritage as a leader in the intimates category.”
The campaign, shot by Mikael Jansson in New York, along with Kendall’s portraits, also feature those of other stunning models: Isabeli Fontana, Edita Vilkeviciute and Joan Smalls and will be officially released by the end of July.
From the sneak peak we have had, we can confirm that the mood transmitted by the ads is very classy and timeless; focusing all the attention on Calvin Klein Black, the campaign will showcase a wide range of embroidered lace, seen on seductive balconettes and bodysuits.
Kendall affirmed she had a lot of fun on the set, not only because “every girl loves posing in her underwear”, but also because of the deep professional connection she was able to create with the photographer and the other models. “Mikael Jansson shot it, and he and I have a good chemistry. Having girls around who are all my friends, the energy was really great,” she said.
Goldie is completely satisfied with the collaboration between Calvin Klein and Kendall Jenner too, since the model is bringing a lot of energy to the brand and, due to her wide fan base, she is able to bring it to the attention of a younger and fresher audience. That’s why Goldie is positive that Calvin Klein will go on working with Kendall for a while in the future.
