H&M taps Katy Perry for holiday campaign
The news came out just a few days ago, that our favourite California girl will star in the Christmas campaign of the Swedish low-cost giant H&M, replacing the previous ad featuring the unexpected duo composed by Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga.
Katy Perry, who will also star in another major brand campaign – Moschino – could not contain her enthusiasm about the collaboration and posted a sneak peak of the shoot on her Instagram profile. The picture shows her wearing a soft black and white wool sweater, perfect to warm up the wintery days, and a festive red bow in her hair.
“H&M was one of the places where I first began cultivating my personal style. I have continued to love integrating H&M pieces into my wardrobe throughout the years,” confessed the singer. “I can’t wait for you to see the world we created with Jonas Åkerlund and Dan Jackson”.
The brand’s head of design, Pernilla Wohlfarhrt, announced: “We are so thrilled that Katy Perry will star in our campaign this holiday season. We love everything about Katy, from her incredible talent and energy to her playful sense of personal style”.
The campaign will be broadcasted on TV and print and will debut in November, but for the moment we also have an introductory video from Katy featuring the singer wearing a tuxedo matched with a red bowtie and red nail polish.
