Paco Rabanne catwalk show report | PFW S/S 2016
All eyes were glued to Paco Rabanne’s elegant and chic spring/summer 2016 collection. From leather to fringe and everything in between, the designer lived up his reputation by yet again creating a masterful and gracious collection of ready-to-wear must-haves.
The prominent colours that stole the show consisted of black, white, pale pink and tan, army green, orange and gold. Babydoll dresses, leather get-ups and balconette bodysuits made an appearance for the sexier portion of the show. Loose-fitting trousers, oversized coats and free flowing tops accounted for the more practical yet stylish side of the designer’s looks. He also added a touch of gold to many of the outfits, pairing V-necks with dazzling asymmetrical skirts.
Leather was incorporated in many black and white pieces for a chic and edgy look; leather tops with elegant fringed skirts balanced the pieces and adding a feminine side to them. Meanwhile, a variety bold patterns were seen, including abstract stripes and tie-dye.
