Style file: Kristen Stewart
Actress Kristen Stewart, or Bella Swan to most fans, has achieved a lifetime of fame in the few years she has been in the spotlight. Although we all love her for her role in Twilight, when she first rose to fame in 2008, Kristen has since been continuing her career not just in film, but also in fashion.
We’ve watched her daring style choices, her hair chopped and her break up with Robert Pattinson, but how did her style evolve from that shy, awkward teenage tomboy to a polished and chic star? Let’s take a look back at some of her most memorable outfits and embrace the K-Stew of past and present.
At the Twilight premier in 2008, Kristen wore this monochrome striped dress from Camilla & Marc. Even at the age of 18, Kristen remained cool and laid-back in this strapless number; a sign of things to come.
At the MTV Awards in 2009, Kristen decided to dress down this red and mesh textured dress, with a pair of Converse trainers. She claimed it was because she could sign more autographs in flats. This showed us that Kristen can be easy-going and we gained more insight into her off-duty looks.
2009 was also the year that Kristen cut her locks, for her role as Joan Jett in The Runaways. Although, off-set she teamed her choppy, dark locks with sweats and sneakers, on the red carpet she looked as elegant as ever. This 50s-style dress started to take Kristen’s style away from a young lady and into a mature, successful woman.
On the red carpet in 2010, Kristen was spotted wearing this exquisite one-armed dress from Elie Saab. Her shorter locks had been pinned back with a small, side-quiff and the matching pumps completed the outfit.

She’s a girl who knows how to keep things chilled though, when she wore this simple black tee and cropped jeans back in 2011 – back when she loved to throw on a pair of trainers between premieres!
Kristen was right on-trend with a high-neck crop top, when she arrived to a Chanel show in 2013. Her outfit here, with high-waisted flares and a jumper around her waist, was a more chic and cool look for the actress.
Another Chanel show outfit was this white tailored jacket, with black leather gloves and matching shorts. Her slicked back locks and signature smoky eyes completed the look.
In 2014, Kristen was starting to wear Chanel on the regular and her partnership with the fashion house had grown strong. She wore this strapless white dress, with an unusual grey turtle neck over the top of it.
Nowadays, Kristen is still seen sporting the slick backed perfectly coiffed hair and smoky eyes, but she has also jumped on to the contouring wagon. Her style is still elegant and classy; this navy chiffon couture number she wore to the Equals premiere is a perfect example.
However, she still loves her laid-back style off screen and is most happy in a baseball cap, acid wash jeans and some sunnies.
