Isossy Children autumn/winter 2016 collection catwalk show for NYFW
It’s impossible to leave an Isossy Children show without a smile on your face. Besides the obvious draw of cute kids proudly strutting the runway, this brand is unique in its ability to meld style and function, to create children’s clothing that is both trendsetting and versatile.
Designer Amanda Rabor presented Isossy’s autumn/winter 2016 offerings at the Affinia hotel for New York Fashion Week. Playful and glamorous in equal measure, the collection infused bold colours and prints into classic silhouettes. Standout pieces included a blue denim A-line dress with far-eastern inspired print detail, and a gold jersey dress with PVC panels.
Children’s casual was redefined with key pieces: a grey, hooded jersey cape with pleat detail, paired with a matching skirt, jersey sweatpants with vibrantly patterned pockets, and a “throw-on” jersey dress with eye-catching embroidery, provided instances of effortless chic, while maintaining a youthful zeal.
But denim was where the collection really shone, with charming jumpsuits complete with cut-outs and print detailing, along with slim-fit trousers, highlighted by bold, African-inspired prints.
Isossy maintains its commitment to transcending cultural barriers by fusing African, Asian and Western design elements. The result is a tour de force – classy, modern and highly wearable children’s clothing.
