PPQ autumn/winter 2016 collection catwalk show for LFW
PPQ presented an exciting autumn/winter 2016 collection at St Andrews Church for London Fashion Week. The new looks were a combination of casual and fun party wear Here are our images from the show.
Dramatically entitled Purple Reign, PPQ presented a collection that included a combination of slinky high-octane looks as well as softer, flowing pieces.
The contrasts between these two styles made for an interesting dynamic throughout the show. In the more party-girl pieces, thigh-high boots were combined with super short skirts and hot pants for a series of stylishly sexy looks, one of which was completed by a yellow raincoat with an oversized fur hood for a playful take on the trend.
Contrasting the tightly-fitting, revealing designs were a selection of wide-leg pants and dresses characterised by tall, flowing silhouettes. Rendered in soft ice-cream pastels of mauve, mint and peach, these looks did feel prettier, but they were not without their edge. A touch of animal print found its way into boxy handbags and super high stilettos, and was sometimes even printed onto the clothes themselves to create a slightly decadent aesthetic.
Somewhere in the middle of the full-length and super-short looks came the pastel-hued cocktail dresses, with their elegant draping and quirky shapes. At the helm of this collection was a beautiful multi-tiered tulle creation in pastel shades of peach, lemon and blue.
The outerwear was a particular highlight in this collection, and aside from a few tailored leather jackets there was also a selection of pale-hued fur coats that will surely be on every winter wardrobe wish list. Finishing the show came a checked mohair that had been translated into a cropped jacket, as well as a longer version.
