The Sibling A/W 2016 show was a buzz. The music created a nostalgic mood of the early noughties with the likes of Kelis’ Milkshake and an old school hip hop influence.
Throughout the collection, there was a heavy influence of 90s and a simple but vivid colour palette of purple, blue, black and yellow. The runway was filled with pom pom earrings, safety pin detailing and side split dresses swished with a paint brush pattern. Skirts and capes were combined with fur and dramatic brush strokes that oozed an artist’s touch, while knitted sparkly dresses and cosy capes also made an appearance.
The creations were beautiful and unique with a sense of humour. Old school headgear and lace dresses that didn’t cover much made a powerful statement through bold shades of blue, purple and yellow. Minimal lace dresses had a dramatic effect, while pom pom accessories and snazzy socks added a playful touch. The show ended with a dramatic stand from all of the models, allowing the audience to fully appreciate the new collection.
