Topshop Unique autumn/winter 2016 collection catwalk show for LFW
With the show starting fashionably late, there is time to focus on the number of famous faces who grace the front row of the Topshop show: Vogue editor Anna Wintour, teen models Lucky Blue Smith and Anais Gallagher, American socialite Olivia Palermo, radio host Nick Grimshaw, sitting with model Pixie Geldof and friends.
Classical music starts the show. Models display bold make up and the pieces draw inspiration from schoolwear. As the music’s remix kicks off, the collection changes up a bit with casual sports luxe combined with flamboyants coats and leather and lace leggings.
Until this point, most of the collection is quite neutral, with some dark colours to bring out the autumn and winter mood: greens purples, blues and camel. Coats and loose-fitting dresses and trousers are very popular throughout this collection As we go on the clothes flow in with the make up: bold pink lips and pink lace dress with matching boots in screaming yellows. Topshop does not hold back in being audacious this season, with sequin and velvet dresses painted with unique artwork and lace dresses dominating the runway.
The collection is filled with embellished coats, fur coats, smart trousers and smart party wear that would make even the fashion clueless go wow! Jumpsuit that imitate suits, the colour palette reflected different influences from designers inspired by artwork, the world and the label itself.
Despite the wait, the Topshop show is a success. The collection stands out from the crowd and makes girls seethe with envy!
