As soon as we all get to grips with fairy tales being fictional, Dolce and Gabbana bring out an extraordinary collection based on a magical world of make believe.

During their fall 2016 show, Dolce and Gabbana brought fairy tales to life with a straight-out-of-Cinderella carriage and a classic, checkerboard runway. Although dresses fit for a princess aren’t anything new for Dolce and Gabbana, the overall theme of the collection and ball-like runway have made it one of the best.

Many key elements of the Disney movies featured on garments. The Evil Queen’s mirror in the all-time favourite Snow White was embodied on to a black dress, along with other favourites, including glass slippers and Gus the mouse from Cinderella.

Of course, the models walking the runway played a major role in pulling off the theme. The closing of the show featured beautiful, glittering dresses, which added a modern touch to the collection. Classic, lace skirts and dresses were perfectly tailored to models’ figures, ensuring this fairy tale was as seamless as possible.

The classic Italian heritage of Dolce and Gabbana is, of course, always resembled in their collections. With this runway set in the fashion capital, Milan, we didn’t expect anything less from the design duo.
