Summer skin survival tips

Summer skin survival tips

Whatever the season, our skin must receive special care and consideration. By cleansing, toning and moisturising twice a day to simple activities such as staying hydrated, we should all take care when looking after our skin. It is now summer, the sun is scorching and the air is warm, so below are a few tips to ensure our skin stays its best.

Stay Hydrated

In order for our skin to retain moisture it is extremely important to stay hydrated through summer. Whether your skin is dry or oily, water will help.

Sleep is important

Not getting enough sleep will make skin look drained and tired. Sleep helps skin retain colour and texture, enabling it to dodge breakouts.

SPF

Using an SPF will protect our skin from ultraviolet radiation. Researchers say that from the age of six months old we should all be using some sort of SPF in our everyday skin routine. It also helps with skin discolouration.

Cleanse, tone and moisturise

We should cleanse, tone and moisturise twice a day. Once in the morning to remove all the dead skin cells and have a refreshed face to see our day through. We should then do this again at night. This is extremely important if you wear make-up.

Routine

Having a routine to take care of your skin is extremely important. Our skin shapes and protects us, so it is only right we give it a proper routine to make it glow and glisten. Find out what works for you and cater your routine around your skin type.
