One of the world most recognised and successful British brands, Jenny Packham presented her spring/summer 2017 collection in New York Fashion Week at Moynihan Station. The collection was inspired by 31 women widely recognised for their unique sense of fashion and style and contribution to art. Many of them are celebrities and loyal clients of the brand who were seen on the red carpet in the designer signature gowns. Blake Lively, Jennifer Lawrence and Emily Blunt are to name a few.
The glorious collection included 31 pieces of feminine, intricate in detail, timeless, embellished gowns, wide leg trousers, silk chiffon skirts and multi-print mini dresses. The models were flowing through the runway in tule, lace, sequin and satin chiffon. The details and accessories were equally exquisite. Leather belts, ruffles, multi print minis with flared sleeves, gold embellishments and bone bodice, they were all part of a glorious Jenny Packham show.
The designer presented her vision of each of 31 inspiring women, beautiful in their differences, vision and unique styles. Golden rich sequenced gowns, or flirty multi-colour mini dresses, double-breasted blazers or black off shoulder gown. All, unforgettable, immediately recognisble but each bringing their own taste.
Rich colours of gold, tropico orange, ivory, red, rosa pink and black were shining bright on the runway. Shoes were presented by Christian Louboutin, stylish eyewear by Linda Farrow, and natural-looking makeup was achieved by using Bobbi Brown. It was a lavish, bright show, energetic, powerful and almost overwhelming in its richness.
