Nancy Vuu presented her collectionat Moynihan Station on Sunday night. After launching in 2014, Vuu has already gained a huge following for her luxury children and teens clothing. Vuu believer that all little girls and boys think they’re princes and princesses and she wants to dress them as such.
Even seasoned fashionistas were felt their hearts melt as the children took to the runway. The children’s clothing was pure fantasy in the best way possible. It’s easy to imagine that many little girls would love the beautiful creations that walked down the runway. The clothing felt very luxurious and it was clear to see that a lot of workmanship went into the pieces.
This season Vuu also tried her hand at womenswear for the first time. She wanted to have the same whimsey in her adult designs as she does for her girls and teens clothing but with a slightly more grown-up twist which she worked in through the colour palette and adding more dramatic necklines.
Both the adult and children’s lines featured bright and cheerful colors and a great deal of floral details running through the collection. One of the most unique ways this played out was in the three-dimensional roses that adorned several of the dresses. A few of the young girls dresses also had petals that formed the skirt of the dress.
While the adult were not the same as the children’s dresses there were many that did coordinate giving the perfect opportunity for high-end mommy-and-me dressing. Even better for consumers who liked what they saw at the show they won’t have to wait until next spring to wear these fashions. This was one of the new see now/shop mow shows so these clothes should be on Vuu’s website and in store for fall!
