The crowd at the Angel Orensanz Foundation Event Space was ready to have fun and party! From the various photo booths to the open bar, this was more of an exciting club than a fashion show. All the same, the designers brought their A game. Throughout the show we were able to see various design aesthetics through the perspective of three different designers.
Fernando Alberto Atelier was first to hit the runway with his dark and edgy style. Even in this edge, there was a sense of fluidity. The collection was brought together with the implementation of aqua eye shadow and detailing. The moody music added to the ambience the designer was trying to exude.
Simplistic, modern silhouettes were introduced in Pineda Covalin’s collection. This designer utilised a statement, colourful pattern, reminiscent of 60s disco within a basic framework silhouette. It was through this that the designer achieved an almost futuristic variety for both men and women.
The gears totally shifted with the final designer, Mister Triple X. The pop music intensified the designer’s artistic point of view. This collection was sporty with an edge and was on trend with upscale, sophisticated athleisure. Metallics were introduced with different styles of leather and bomber jackets. Male clothing seemed to be at the forefront of this collection, and there was maybe even a sense of androgyny as both men and women were wearing similar styles of slacks and jackets. The sliver of skin that was visible with an unzipped jacket, tied the male and female pieces together.
