Chiara Boni La Petite Robe autumn/winter 2017 collection catwalk show for NYFW
When looking at Chiara Boni La Petite Robe’s autumn/winter 2017 collection, you see the 21st century empowered women. Designed based on the needs of chic and international female globetrotters today, the collection presents to us not only fashion, but also a contemporary lifestyle of an elite woman who travels the globe in style. From hair to bags and from dresses to heels, the collection spreads the air of haughtiness in women empowerment.
As the collection is named Grand Hotel, it is to no surprise design elements revolves around a frequent guest of a prestigious hotel. The opening look is a tight-zipped ruffle top with a side-zipped tight leather skirt, all in black. Zippers were also used to decorate necklines and cuffs to offer a graphic twist into the design. To raise the status of this independent woman, there was a hotel bellhop pushing a luggage cart following the first look model.
More black color followed the opening look as models wore knee-length or full-length tight fishtail dresses decorated with zipper outlined ruffles. The overall tight cutting emphasized the sexuality and femininity of an elite woman.
The brand’s signature fabric this season is combined with mat and patent faux leather to create attractive graphics on feminine dresses, as well as velvet to offer a precious feel. The glamorous collection is sparkled with a metallic touch – silver embellishments are embroidered on the fluid silk georgette sleeves of draped gowns. Silver and gold micro beads were also embroidered on a jersey flared cocktail frock.
The collection’s silhouette is slim, especially around the waist, to achieve the desired skinny waist impression. Handbags were appallingly beautiful with simple yet thoughtful ruffle.
When going for an elite-working-woman look, tight and sleek grey blazer and a skirt set is embellished with rose gold zippers.
A masculine touch is introduced to the tuxedo-inspired collars and lapels appearing on both the maxi dresses and the signature jumpsuits of the season. Masculine touch is also present on lace cuffs for a romantic touch.
