Ekaterina Kukhareva autumn/winter 2017 collection presentation for LFW
Ekaterina Kukharevsa’s autumn/winter 2017 was focused on the female revolution, where from children to a pregnant woman, the Jane Austen romanticism was transmitted through floor-reaching floral dresses in pastel colours.
Known for her solid or over-complicated colour mixes, in this collection, Kukhareva focused on a light and delicate texture with a vintage feel that homogenized perfectly with the sweet-smelling perfume of the wild flowers, which filled the room.
The models were playing with flowers, holding picture frames or supervising the children, aspect which could signify the restricted area of activities that women could do in the past. The models had a shimmer, pale makeup which made them look like porcelain dolls.
However, one model stood apart from the others, as she was wearing a simple white T-shirt with the inscription “female revolution”, fact that may signify the exhaustion of females to be associated with porcelain dolls.
