Pam Hogg autumn/winter 2017 collection catwalk show for LFW
Legendary Scottish designer Pam Hogg did not disappoint with her alt-fashion autumn/winter collection catwalk show for the 2017 London Fashion Week in a packed out Freemason’s Hall.
A star studded glammed up crowd – the likes of Noel Fielding and Lisa Snowdon included – waited in anticipation for her expectedly glamourous, subversive and gothic presentation.
Presenting an “army of lovers”, military uniform and retro styling informed the lines while fabrics were dominated by monochrome with splashes of daring red, silver yellow and green and a high shine finish.
Prudish cuts were contradicted by sexy fabrics for a dominatrix aesthetic. Impossibly high wedge heels and boots set off exaggerated looks in matching colours.
Severe lines were broken up by lighter, more feminine pieces. A Marilyn Monroe-esque look was created with flowing halter neck red dress, deeply cut away to expose the back and show a hit of breast worn by a model with a short blonde do.
Models of varying heights, shapes and genders brought contrast and oozed serious attitude. A towering slender model wore a statement catsuit in “look-at-me” head to toe silver while a petite model wore a gothic full skirted dress adorned with long stem red roses.
Radio DJ and presenter Fearne Cotton made an appearance in a white high neck, knee-length PVC dress with matching hat. Brazilian-British model Alice Dellal wore a jet black sleeveless pleated mini dress complete with to the elbow gloves, laced boots, hat and trailing veil.
The show ended with the full complement of models strewing the ground with rose petals and with the seriously edgy designer/rockstar/artist Pam Hogg herself making a run alongside Cotton and Dellal to rapturous applause.
