Paris Fashion Week: A guide on where to eat great food
Paris Fashion Week is arguably the most glamorous of the four international fashion events. From 28th February until 8th March, celebrities, designers, bloggers, buyers and PR people from all around the world are in town to attend exclusive catwalk shows and presentations.
While you may think that most of the action and fun is in the show spaces and afterparties, the restaurants of the French capital offer equal excitement: just on a plate rather than a runway..
Here are our five must-try places:
Tondo
Where: 29 Rue de Cotte, 12th arrondissement
Why: Elegant bristronomie with Asian touches from Italian chef Simone Tondo
Opening hours: 12:30–2pm, 7:30–10pm, closed Sun/Mon and Tue/Wed at lunch
Septime
Where: 80 Rue de Charonne, 11th arrondissement
Why: Cool location and breathtaking food – it’s our must-try restaurant in Paris
Opening hours: 12:15–2pm, 7:30–10pm, closed Sat/Sun and Monday at lunch
L’Arpège
Where: 84 Rue de Varenne, 7th arrondissement
Why: You will have the most incredible vegetables, treated (and tasty) like sushi
Opening hours: 12–2:30pm, 7–10:30pm, closed Sat/Sun
Passerini
Where: 65 Rue Traversière, 12th arrondissement
Why: Chef of the Year 2017 for Le Fooding, Passerini mixes Italian cuisine with Parisian bistronomie
Opening hours: 12:30–2:15pm, 7:30–11pm, closed Sun/Mon and Tuesday at lunch
Papillon
Where: 8 Rue Meissonier, 17th arrondissement
Why: Bold, unrefined flavours, every dish is a like a punch – and the dining room is slick
Opening hours: 12–2:30pm, 7–10:30pm, closed Sat/Sun
Mokonuts
Where: 5 Rue Saint-Bernard, 11th arrondissement
Why: We said five restaurants, this is number six, but Mokonuts is more like a little gem – no questions, just go
Opening hours: 8.45am – 6pm, closed Sat/Sun
