Emma Watson: Style file

Emma Watson represents the strong, powerful, independent women of today and her style reflects this. From her early days on the red carpet as a star from the Harry Potter series to her current endeavours as a Women Goodwill Ambassador for UN, her style has grown from British shabby-chic to elegant yet fierce.

We’ve seen her strutting down red carpets since she was 11-year-old Hermoine Granger, rocking everything from loose and eccentric gowns with feather boas to her Chanel phase, where she wore nothing but the finest couture dresses.

Now that the talented Oxford graduate is doing her promotional rounds for Beauty and the Beast, let’s see why her style has got jaws dropping.

Attending the New York screening of Beauty and the Beast at the Alice Tully Hall, Emma looked impeccable in this classic, all-black silhouette. The sheer cut-out panelling down the front of the dress was definitely a win for her!

Pleats are quite hard to carry off but Emma makes them look effortless as she looked absolutely royal for La Belle et la Bete photocall at Hotel Meurice in Paris. That red detailing brings out the fierce in Belle!

Is that an off-shoulder suited gown we see? Not quite sure about the princess-cut top half, doesn’t particularly flatter little Belle, but the long cape definitely compensates for it. Maybe modern grandeur was her approach to the UK launch event for Beauty and the Beast at Spencer House.

Are jumpsuits really still in? Emma looked stunning and fierce in this low-cut, edgy one-piece, which was accessorised with a gold accent belt. Was it a look to love? Maybe not, but definitely one to appreciate!

The actress wore this beautifully embroidered and embellished dress to the Asian premiere of Beauty and the Beast. This outfit was definitely elegant Emma at her best.

It’s hard to balance a life between Belle and bold, but Emma seems to know all the tricks it takes to be a graceful princess and a badass feminist.
