Negris Lebrum autumn/winter 2018 collection catwalk show for NYFW
Negris Lebrum, Houston, Texas native, presented his autumn/fall 2018 collection in a cosy Soho Studio in New York City. The studio was packed with models, fashion bloggers, editors and photographers who were impatiently expecting the debut collection. And the designer didn’t disappoint.
Tall gorgeous models were gliding through the runway, presenting beautiful, contemporary and relatable designs. Rich fall colours of burgundy, deep greens, burned yellow, and black were used. Deep V-neck silhouettes in chocolate and black sequins, were the highlights of the show. Cold season appropriate clothing was stylishly paired with dark sunglasses, distinct but not overwhelming makeup, tweed middle size heel booties, and a lot of bags.
The pieces presented, were well structured, and consisted of blouses paired with pencil skirts, wool sets, body-hugging dresses, and some sweaters, continuing ruffle sleeve style. Most of the models were wearing playful braids to add youthful look. All bags were perfectly structured and many, while neutral colors, had a pop of color in a shape of a belt attached to them which turned an accessory into standing out piece. Among favourites was a dark green crossbody boxed bag with gold furniture.
Another notable moment was that while presenting small amount of overcoats, the designer was using artificial fur, skillfully applying it against naked skin to create contrast and attract attention. Overall, the collection consisted of beautiful basics, comfortable, wearable, contemporary, yet feminine and sophisticated. It was elegant delivery on a Sunday night, and the audience truly enjoyed the experience.
