Fyodor Golan bought the vivid colours and athe-leisurewear for which they are known for an elevated collection at their autumn/winter 2018 catwalk show.
The influence of the sky was evident as bright rainbow stripes, occasionally dappled with the addition of stormy greys, dominated. Models floated around a large inflatable globe, emphasising the inspiration of flight and hot air balloons. Cascading technicoloured fabrics in striped silks every colour under the sun flew down the runway juxtaposed against chunky knitted boleros.
Fyodor Golan’s signature sports trousers featured throughout, however this season there was a heavy focus upon wide-legged styles. The designer’s classic athletic style was similarly illustrated through contrasting bright stripes cut across sweat shirts and track tops, evoking nostalgic images of the retro sportswear.
Highlights included a tracksuit with a line of embroidered crystals along the sleeve that caught the eye as though shining in the sun. This, along with billowing capes that, as they floated through the audience, allowed you to escape up, up and away.
