Edeline Lee autumn/winter 2018 collection presentation for LFW
The BFC Show Space was transformed into a replica of the Garden of Eden for Edeline Lee’s autumn/winter 2018 presentation.
Representative of the Biblical creation, models were still and reflective – contemplating dark secrets within themselves – as they gracefully wandered through the sunset.
This collection was feminine and modest to the point of monastic. Archetypal women were covered head-to-toe in cascading capes – both printed and plain – while floral coats were layered over corresponding full-length skirts and teamed with crisp white shirts. Garments were draped into lush folds and flounces, frequently incorporating tassels and neckties, which were wrapped into simple bows.
Rich, jewelled colours adorned boucle outerwear, whose silhouettes added generous warmth and proportion, and a series of sustainable organic cotton T-shirts and sweatshirts. These looks were complemented by opulently textured three-dimensional floral jacquard cut into tailored shapes and fanciful distorted ruffles.
