Ada Zanditon spring/summer 2019 collection presentation for LFW
A Candyland fantasy on acid, Ada Zandition’s SS19 collection showcased handmade accessories that combined unusual textures with eccentric futurism.
While the accessories within the collection were indeed alluding to the futuristic, interestingly, the range was in fact inspired by the recent scientific discovery that pink is the oldest colour.
Pieces were uniquely ornate; every rivet was embellished with selected Preciosa crystals, giving an instantly multi-faceted appearance that changed from silver to fuchsia to violet in an alluring spectrum.
The London-based designer used hand-cut manipulation to achieve sculptural, modernist and experiential pieces. Frothy, playful bonbon pink tulle skirts contrasted with daring plastic harnesses in holographic hot pink. Each look was finished generously with ribbons of holographic cellophane, adding an opalescent quality.
