How to make your bedroom cosy
The bedroom is your personal place where you not only spend hours sleeping but is also where you head to unwind. It is a place you want to sit in and relax. For this purpose, your room needs to feel cosy comfortable. Here are a few tricks to help you make your bedroom cosy:
Furniture
This is the most essential part of your bedroom. If you do not have a comfortable bed, none of this is going to work out. Find a bed that not only looks good but makes you want to jump into it. Wooden beds bring out a naturally warm feel within the room. Velvet headboards make you feel snug. Canopies make you feel safe. There are many options you could go with.
Furniture in Fashion provides various choices of fashionable bedroom furniture, from which you can choose according to your style and comfort. The rest of the room needs to complement the furniture. Add other small furniture in the place to make it look fuller.
Colour tones
Go for light and warm tones in the room. Soft blues and pinks are always liked, but so are grey and beige. If your walls are light, you can always add contrasting furniture, or add bright ornaments to brighten up your bedroom.
Textures
Textures have a unique quality of making a space seem cosy and intimate. You can add textures to your bedroom in so many ways, e.g. in the form of wallpapers, rugs, headboards, and even in the form of plants and stones!
Layers
Add sheets, mainly linen, onto your bed, to make it look more welcoming. Many people prefer clean white sheets, as it makes them feel peaceful. Increase the number of fluffy pillows and comfy cushions. Add extra comforters and throws into the mix. And do not forget to make your bed every day.
Your space
Customise your room according to what you want it to be. Make it a place that is entirely yours. Paste personal pictures. Put up paintings and origami, if that is your thing. String fairy lights over your bed, or hang them from a wall if you prefer that. Add ornaments and plants. Do whatever you need to do to make yourself feel welcome and safe in your space.
Reading corner
Some rooms have an awkward, confusing corner. Use it. If you are into reading, add some rugs and cushions on the floor, or hang a chair from the ceiling, and make it your reading corner. You could also make it a small seating area, with chairs facing each other to give a more intimate feel of the whole setting.
Rugs
A bedroom is incomplete without rugs. You can have rugs by your bed, near the doors, even in the middle of the room. Just make sure your rugs go with the whole theme.
Lamps
Lamps give a warm glow to any room. Turning your overhead lights off and turning your lamp on at night can give your room a very cosy feel.
