Fashion East spring/summer 2020 collection catwalk show for LFW

This season’s catwalk by Fasion East features two designers, Gareth Wright and Yuhan Wang. The collections of Chinese designer Wang are inspired by traditional ideas of femininity and its connections to Western culture, delving into ideas of coverage and exposure. Wang describes her work as a study of “beauty with weirdness, softness, delicacy and sensibility”.

Wright’s collection explores the impact of fast fashion, antagonising an industry powered by overconsumption. His bespoke, one-off pieces are dedicated to sustainability and celebrate the positive environmental impact of do-it-yourself maker movements.
