What to wear while working from home
For those working from home right now, the temptation to swap shirts and pencil skirts for sweats and pyjamas has been all too real! Finding a smart/casual balance is proving tricky and we’re still learning what works for us.
Currently, we don’t exactly need those office worthy (or ironable) outfits but we do need to look presentable on Zoom calls and feel in the right mindset to get things done.
That’s why we’ve compiled a list of some perfect WFH looks for you. Each will have you looking amazing and feeling motivated whilst taking advantage of your new laid-back work environment.
Slip-on dresses
In our opinion, slip-on dresses are by far the most comfortable transition from PJs to clothes! They also look gorgeous and feel comfy all day long. We recommend smock dresses, maxis with a stretchy shirred bodice, or a relaxed fit midi with placket detailing for the perfect smart/casual vibe!
Co-ord sets
Make yourself comfortable and stylish in a co-ord set and feel ready to start the day! Opt for a laid-back sweater and joggers set for a meeting-less Monday or a button-up shirt and matching tailored shorts for video catch-ups with your colleagues.
Jeans and a nice top
Don’t worry, we’re not talking about the Saturday night style you’d rock with heels here! In this instance, jeans and a nice top is geared more towards your most comfortable denims and something loose fit to tuck in on the top. For example, try throwing on a classic pair of mom jeans with a cute button-up sweater to see you through a long, slow Tuesday!
Cotton tees and maxi skirts
We love any outfit that’s comfy and simple to throw together but still looks and feels like you made the effort. Try a simple cotton tee tucked into a floaty maxi skirt for all day style and optimum at-home comfort.
Pyjama Fridays
Remember all of those mornings your alarm went off and you just wanted to stay in bed rather than getting ready for work and heading to the office? Well, if your schedule allows for it, we suggest you take this opportunity to treat yourself to a lazy morning at least once a week. Scroll through your emails with a coffee on the sofa and stay in your PJs. You might never get the chance again so why not seize the moment?
