Salon nails in five easy Steps
-
Get your essentials
Before you begin the process you must gather all of your tools. If you want professional-like results make sure that you have:
-
A UV or LED lamp
-
A nail buffer
-
Nail file
-
Basecoat and a top coat
-
Your favourite gel polish
-
Cut and file your nails
Cut your natural nails to your preferred length. If they are already short, simply shape them by using a nail file. Some people prefer the oval shape, and others love the square. The choice is entirely up to you, just stay precise and remember to smooth out any rough edges.
Once you’re done cutting and filing, buff the entire nail surface with a nail buffer. This will prepare your nails for product application, and it will remove any heavy oils.
-
Use a base coat
A base coat is basically a primer that will act as an amazing foundation for further product application. You can use any clear base coat that you have. Just make sure you apply a thin coat of it and dry it under a UV lamp for 30 seconds. Once dried down, you can pick your favorite gel or nail polish colour!
-
Use A Gel Coloured Polish
Gel polishes last a lot longer when compared to nail polishes, and they are amazing if you want durability and longevity. Also, they are chip-resistant and will look flawless for two weeks straight.
Find your favourite colour right here and browse through some bright and pastel summer shades.
Apply two of your chosen colour and again, cure under a UV lamp for two minutes.
-
Cure it
Once you achieve your preferred outcome and you’re satisfied with the pigmentation, it is time to cure your manicure.
Use a top coat that has either a glossy or matte effect (entirely up to you) and once again, place your nails under the UV lamp for 60 seconds.
Apply a bit of your favourite nail or hand cream and admire your top-notch manicure. It is that easy!
Ready for your salon-perfect nails?
You can achieve the perfect manicure on your own, just make sure you have the right tools. Also, make sure that you have 60-90 minutes to spare since this is how much time it may take to get professional results if you are a beginner.
