Competition: Win a copy of The Doorman on DVD
The Upcoming is offering three DVD copies of The Doorman directed by Ryuhei Kitamura, which is available to download digitally from 18th January and on DVD from 15th January from Lionsgate UK.
The Doorman is an American thriller starring Ruby Rose (Orange Is the New Black, John Wick) and Jean Reno (Léon: The Professional). The plot follows Rose’s character, Ali Gorsky, as she returns from serving overseas in the Marines. Coping with PTSD from the incident that prompted her departure, she takes a security job for a luxury high-rise apartment complex in New York City. The former soldier must stop an elaborate heist targetting priceless artwork within the building, all the while keeping her niece and nephew safe from harm.
Kitamura – the Japanese director behind the movie – has been lauded over the past two decades for features such as Versus, Battlefield Baseball and Godzilla: The Final Wars. This film expands on his penchant for the action-thriller genre, including biting dialogue and engaging combat scenes.
