Greek restaurant Opso has curated a special Valentine’s menu incorporating irresistible dishes that will bring some Mediterranean magic to your relationship. These include hummus with hazelnut praline, chilli oil, pine nut crumble and hand-stretched pitas; spanakopita (handmade spinach pie) with burnt onion Greek yoghurt dip; roasted beetroot with barrel-matured feta; prime ribeye; and a delightfully nutty dessert including caramelised white chocolate, chocolate crumble and caramel hazelnuts. Lanson Champagne have taken the trouble out of cooking this Valentine’s Day with an exclusive limited-edition three-course menu including mains from HG Walter paired with a bottle of Lanson Le Rosé to be enjoyed at home with loved ones. Diners will start by enjoying the fruity and delicate taste of Lanson Le Rosé, which is sought after for its pale salmon colour and characteristic freshness. Sam’s Riverside
Sam Harrison and his head chef Ashley Tinoco have devised an indulgent menu for two, bringing a taste of Sam’s Riverside to your door. Kicking off with an amuse-bouche, the five-course menu will cost £110 and will include a main course of Beef Wellington and boulangère potatoes (minimal cooking required), as well as a dessert and cheese course. A separate à la carte selection will include a special seafood platter and a dozen Carlingford Lough or Morecambe Bay oysters (to be delivered unopened, with shallot vinegar, lemon, and an oyster knife for shucking). Executive Chef André Garrett of the Northall at Corinthia London has created a wonderful Valentine’s menu for two, including Caviar and Blinis; his award-winning hand-rolled Strozzapreti with black truffle; Salmon en Croûte; and Baked cheesecake with rhubarb. Pied à Terre, one of the longest standing Michelin-starred restaurants in London, has created the ultimate luxury hamper to enjoy this Valentine’s Day. With the finest ingredients such as Gillimard Pink Champagne, Scottish oak smoked salmon and foie gras terrine, they are using their 30-year long relationships with the very best suppliers, and sending these ingredients directly to you at home. With steak being one of the most popular dishes to cook on 14th February, why not treat yourself to the best this year: a grass-reared côte de boeuf from family-run butchers, Philip Warren in Cornwall. They supply some of the country’s best restaurants including Brat, Ikoyi, Paul Ainsworth at No 6 and Smokestak, and now customers can experience their expertly dry-aged meat at home via their online platform On the Pass by Warrens. Awarded a 2021 Michelin plate for good cooking, the lovely people at Top Cuvée have put on one hell of a spread this Valentine’s Day, a suitably fancy four-course menu prepped with love and ready to be heated through at home, complete with a bottle of appropriately named Le Grappin, “Saint Amore” Gamy from Shop Cuvée – as perfectly matched as you and your beau. Lovebirds will also be treated to an exclusive scented candle in collaboration with Earl of East to really set the tone. What’s more romantic than an authentic Italian sharing spread? Norma have one of the hottest Valentine’s kits around. For £175 (feeds two), including a bottle of Sherazade red, blood orange spritzes and marsala to wind down the evening. There’s antipasti of homemade focaccia, scallops with bottarga and whipped ricotta, winter tomatoes and sumac. For primi it’s fresh pasta with Sicilian red prawns, chilli and fennel. Then aged beef tagliata, radicchio, pecorino served with truffled potatoes and pecorino sauce. For sweets, tuck into dark chocolate, coffee and walnut cake with whipped mascarpone. Last but not least, acclaimed British chef Tom Aikens has put together a box of his most-celebrated dishes for customers to whip up at home, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Together with Finish & Feast, the Musette by Tom Aikens kits bring a taste of true fine dining to the home – with dishes influenced by Tom’s culinary career to date. For £70 (feeds two), guests can order a sharing menu of luscious seven-hour shoulder of lamb with sides of spring onion mash, balsamic onions and french beans with confit garlic and shallots. Or there’s a delectable three-course menu including 24-hour braised short rib with miso and honey, served with individual onion tatins and salt-baked beets. For dessert on both the menus, it’s Tom’s signature dark chocolate mousse with Chantilly and caramelised pistachio (available for one at £55, or two at £98). Aquavit London
For a romantic Scandi feast, opt for Aquavit London’s DIY Delivery Box this Valentine’s Day, available for nationwide delivery. Head Chef Jorjon Colazo has created three exciting seasonal sharing menus that are sure to impress. Designed for two to share, choose from the Meat box (£80), Pescatarian box (£90) or Vegetarian box (£60). Simply heat, plate and present the food and you’re ready to go. a selection of fine wines, beers and inventive soft drinks are also available to order. Smokestak, East London’s barbecue restaurant, is firing up the wood-fired smoker for Valentine’s Day and offering two special DIY meal kits. The box for two features rhubarb fizz cocktails to start, followed by salt-baked beetroot, goat cheese, toasted hazelnuts; 15-hour beef brisket with pickled red chilli and pulled pork with mustard barbecue sauce and pickled cucumber. Sides include two jacket potatoes with mustard rarebit and ginger and green chilli slaw. For something sweet to finish, there is Smokestak’s sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel. A premium box is available with additions of smoked cod roe with hand-pressed corn tortillas; purple sprouting broccoli with salsa rossa and a bottle of Gran Cerdo Tinto Rioja.
