Who is going to win the Champion’s League in 2021?
Paris Saint Germain look to be the favourites when it comes to European champions, joined by Bayern Munich as well as Man City. The Champion’s League has now returned, and it looks like the elite of Europe are going to be battling it out to see who is going to be crowned continental champion. Chelsea are the defending champs this year and they managed to beat Pep Guardiola’s Man City in the 2020 games, but are they going to be in the running this year? This post gives an idea of what to expect at the upcoming games.
Who are the favourites?
Paris Saint Germain are the current favourites, according to the odds. They’ll be lifting the trophy for the very first time this year if they win, and the European trophy has truly been a coveted honour for the giants for quite some time. They even ended up losing to Bayern. Their blockbuster signing of the one and only Lionel Messi has certainly helped them on in the League, and he’s also shown that he can be a substantial player on the field as well. When one considers the combination of him, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, it’s clear that they are a force to be reckoned with. Manchester City’s odds currently put them in second place. They managed to make their first ever showing in the last final, under Pep Guardiola last year. The Citizens are going to be ready and raring to go having experienced their final loss against the mighty footballers, Chelsea. They also had to contend with the defence of the Premier League title. Manchester City of course have Jack Grealish at their disposal, and they are on a quest to try and clinch a Champions League title. Could it finally be in sight for them? Who knows – but it is safe to say that the future is looking bright. For more about the Champions League current predictions, check out the Champions League odds from William Hill.
Bayern Munich and Chelsea
A quick Google will reveal Bayern Munich and Chelsea as the champions of the last two competitions. They currently have odds that are favourable and they could be crowned UCL winners once again. Chelsea are going to be very keen when it comes to defending their title and they want to come away with a third trophy. Of course, Bayern want to add more to their trophy cabinet as well. The British team have been strengthened time and time again, managing to sign Romelu Lukaku. Robert Lewandowski is certainly a menace when it comes to scoring goals, and he has hit the Champions League stage before with repeatedly phenomenal results. Six-time winners Liverpool are perhaps likely to lift the trophy as well this year, after they were knocked out of the competition by Real Madrid in the last event. The reds were crowned as being the winners of the tournament, but at the end of the day, their outings have been a bit of a let down. It also looks as though Manchester United have very good odds, and they have been very eager when it comes to lifting the Champions League trophy, spending a fair amount of time training for this moment. Who will come out victorious though? Who knows, but so far, things are heating up.
