A party to beat all other parties: Celebrating Christmas 2022 in style
There may be many reasons to celebrate this new year, the first of which is that everything is more or less back to normal (or as close to normal as it can get!). Whilst it’s true that there have been a lot of changes – to the way we work, live, the government and even to the monarchy – the best thing to do under the circumstances is to move forward and face the future without regrets. And since Christmas is coming, what better way to celebrate than holding a Christmas party? It could be for friends, family or colleagues, but there’s nothing like celebrating the changing of the seasons than with an event that beats all other events, and the starting point could be having a theme. But what themes are on trend nowadays? Here’s how to celebrate Christmas 2022 in style.
The night of the musical greats
No Christmas party – or any party, for that matter – is complete without music, and that’s why this theme is perfect. Hosts can usher in the holidays in style by dressing up as their favourite musical greats! And, of course, all the guests should dress up as their preferred music artists, too. There’s no genre that’s not allowed, whether it’s pop, rock’n’roll, jazz or hip-hop, and everyone can have fun dressing up as musical greats, enjoying a few drinks, and even dancing along to their favourite tunes. Here’s a bonus: later on, why not have a contest where people can sing along to a song as the artist they dressed up in?
A Carnevale to remember
Everyone has heard of the Carnevale in Rio, or, equally spectacular, the Carnevale in Venice. No matter which Carnevale is chosen, hosts should make sure everyone dresses in costume and lends an air of mystery to the event by wearing a mask, which they will unveil once the clock strikes 12! Party holders can make their Carnevale stand out by adding some game stalls and booths, and if the venue is big enough, nothing is stopping them from adding rides. It’s just smart to make sure to rely on an expert funfair hire company.
An evening of entertainment
Another theme that’s proven extra fun and exciting is an evening at an entertainment complex – with yours truly as the host. The elegance of the theme will not be lost on anyone; guests can dress up in their best tuxes and cocktail dresses and watch a show or play games. Then, if the host wants to, they can take it to the next level by hiring an elegant and striking venue, musicians, and pro croupiers, and everyone can play and drink the night away with lots of free-flowing champagne and whisky.
A magical Christmas in the forest
One theme that’s sure to illicit oohs and aahs from guests is a magical Christmas in the forest theme – it’s one of the more popular themes this year. Partygoers can be inspired by the woods in the winter and the snowfall, and hosts can say it all with the décor, jazzing up the venue with recycled wood and glass, and having the most beautiful centrepieces. PInecones and garlands are the décor of choice, and depth and texture can be added with leaves and branches.
