Inhaler at Electric Ballroom
Inhaler took everyone’s breath away on Saturday night at Camden’s Electric Ballroom. The world-famous Irish band took London by storm, playing their electric indie-rock hits to a packed venue full of excited fans. Hailing all the way from Dublin, Ireland the band finished off strong on their latest Cuts & Bruises tour, playing an incendiary show that had the crowd screaming and dancing throughout.
Holding the attention of their audience for the entire duration of the set, Inhaler’s frontman Eli Hewson remained quick-witted throughout, cracking little jokes to the audience between songs and keeping the connection with his fans strong. Beneath the iridescent glow of the multicoloured lights that encompassed the stage and the entirety of the venue, Hewson and the rest of the band – Robert Keating (bass), Josh Jenkinson (guitar), and Ryan McMahon (drums) – filled the space with the astounding sound of some of their most popular songs. They performed many hits off both of their albums, such as We Have to Move On, Dublin in Ecstasy, My King Will Be Kind, and Valentine, all of which left the crowd in awe.
The effervescent ambiance filling the Electric Ballroom was incredible, and the echoes of every single lyric to every single song could be felt and heard all over the venue. Despite it being the final stop on their tour, Inhaler truly proved London that they give 100% of their energy to all of their performances, without exception, clearly demonstrating the passion they hold for their fans and their music with every second they were on the stage.
The band ended their tour and this gig with an astonishing final few songs: Just to Keep You Satisfied, off latest release Cuts & Bruises (2023), and It Won’t Always Be Like This – the title track for their first album of the same name released in 2021. Inhaler truly are uniquely their own, and have proved the sheer passion behind their music through this final show. They will rightfully leave a mark on music history.
